Move along, nothing to see.
Contrary to the name, it is not a cave but a cut in the rock along the road which is limited to a volume where visitors have difficulty moving. The extracted parts are removed from the site. For the price of 7€ you only have explanations in Italian (even if you book in advance where you are told a visit in English or even French), 2 panels and some reconstructions of tools that could be in the room of reception.
Several people (including Italians) left during the explanations.
In short, to avoid especially at this price!
Active archelogical site with great guided tours.
Went last Sunday after a visit to the Molina waterfall park, found everything closed even though Google indicated that it was open, I also tried calling my cell phone but no one answered
I was expecting a more engaging experience, you wear a safety helmet to walk about fifty meters along a path surrounded by vegetation and then arrive in a protected cave where there are no risks and to tell the truth not much to see, the guide's explanation is interesting and the copies of the artefacts reconstructed and exhibited in the cave exhibition... according to a very small museum to embellish the site would not be bad.
Site of archaeological importance and more. Exhaustive and clear explanation from archaeologists who continue their magnificent and indispensable research work right in front of the visitors. Reservation recommended
Excellent guided tour, without it I would not have understood many things and the effort they are making to enhance it and to find out what it contains! Truly a jewel, considering that there are very few in the world! Congratulations for the event organized and congratulations for your preparation and dedication!!
10 August 2021 waterfalls closed because, according to local people, the municipality has not found a way to stipulate the agreement with the University of Ferrara for management or another body. At the entrance and on the website it would be useful to leave a minimum indication... Even just 'closed until...'. Bad management.
Great experience and a comprehensive explanation from an enthusiastic young archaeologist. If you are in the Valpolicella area, unmissable
